How To Plan Your Book Trailer

If you have authored a book, your probably also thinking about author promotions, book marketing and book sales. Book trailers are just one of the ways that both authors and publishers promote and market books, however, book trailers are a powerful way to get your message across.

So where do you start with making plans and producing a book trailer. I would suggest that you first start by looking at what other authors and book trailer producers have produced. Within this you will see various types of book trailers using various marketing techniques and keep in mind at various prices. So think about your budget right from the get go.
Personally, I feel that a simple yet powerful book trailer is most affective. After all, it's your book that you want to share with potential book buyers. Your not after Grammy of the year for a book trailer production and the most important part of creating a book trailer is keeping the viewers in mind.
Music: Many authors and those watching a book trailer find that the music is distracting and in all honesty it can be. There is nothing worse than opening a video and there's instant music and no option to remove it. From another perspective if you create a book trailer around music or with sound keep in mind that not everyone keeps their sound turned on and many people don't even have audio functioning.
Colors and fonts: Keep it simple, create a production for all types of people and use colors and fonts to accent your message, but not to over power it. Too much is too distracting and over powering.

Just a few suggestions ...
