There is nothing worse than opening a video and there's instant music and no option to remove it. From another perspective if you create a book trailer around music or with sound keep in mind that not everyone keeps their sound turned on and many people don't even have audio functioning.

Colors and fonts: Keep it simple, create a production for all types of people and use colors and fonts to accent your message, but not to over power it. Too much is too distracting and over powering.
